[Guide] How to become a Vampire/Werewolf

Big thanks to @Asuna for providing the article information.

So, which team do you vote for, Jacob (Werewolf) or Edward (Vampire)? Well, whichever team you fancy the most, this guide will explain how you can take your fandom to the next level and actually become a Vampire or Werewolf. Myself, I am a team Edward fan. My body is as white as the freshly fallen snow, my eyes as red as the blood of my enemy.

Without going into too much detail and spoiling the quest itself, I’m not going to provide any screenshots of the quest itself, but I will include screenshots of known locations the Vampire and Werewolves spawn.

Note: Keep in mind there’s a easy way to become a Vampire/Werewolf, getting bit by a fellow player who has the ability off cooldown.

How To Do It

Taking the leap from just saying you’re on Team Edward or Team Jacob, and actually become a part of that team isn’t as easy as it may sound. If you’re lucky you’ll be able to go to the location find the creature you need, let him ravage your body and you can go on your merry way. However, if you’re the unlucky type, who has no friends that can ravage your body for you, you’re going to have to go to Bangkori, and located one of two creatures (depending which team you want to be on).

You’ll want to travel to locations during the night as the creatures only spawn during the moonlit hours. You’ll be searching for a rare Blood Fiend or Werewolf at one of the marked locations outlined in the screenshots provided. If you do not find these creatures during the night, this is because they have been slain and have not respawned yet. While on the PTS, because I am such a dedicated Team Edward fan, I timed the respawns to be roughly every 3 REAL LIFE days. So if you run across these creatures, be kind, rewind, I mean don’t kill them. Let the beast have its way with you and then run away.

After the creature has had its way with you, you’ll want to check your character sheet (default pressing C) and look for a Buff/Debuff called, Vampirism or Sanies Lupinus. Once you have acquired this, run away from the creature and let it return to its home and have a chance to ravage some other lucky soul. Again, try not to kill it, because of the long respawn time it’s nice to let them live.

Quest/Level Requirements

Once you’ve acquired the buff/debuff you then need to go to find the NPC that gives the quest to become a full vampire/werewolf. The quest NPCs for Daggerfall can be found in the city of Evermore, for Ebonheart they are in Riften , and in Aldmeri you can find them in Rawl’Kha.

Once you’ve spoken to these NPCs just follow the quest objectives and you’ll be a full member of either Team Jacob or Edward.

The level requirements for this are stated to be level 38, as the creatures you’ll be facing are level 42 in difficulty. However, if you’re gutsy and are as dedicated to your team as I am, it is possible to do the quest at as low as level 18. I have completed the quest on the live servers and I am not a full team Edward member, and I am only level 18.

How To Cure

No longer enjoying being a Vampire or a Werewolf? Want to try and see how the other team plays? No problem. Switching teams is as easy as sparkling in the sunlight.

You’ll need to locate a Priest of Arkay, they are typically found within the Mage’s Hall of the same city you received the quest. The Priest will gladly cure you of your team for a small gold fee.

Locations

These are the locations they can spawn. During my play time on PTS I was able to find these locations where they spawn. For Daggerfall Covanent the map is Bangkori, Ebonheart it is The Rift, and for Aldmeri it is Reaper’s March.

Vampire Stages

There are currently four stages to the Vampire, each stage offering advantages and disadvantages. Each stage has a timer on it, once the timer has expired you’ll progress to the next stage. You’ll need to feed in order to reset this timer and allow you stay at that current stage. For example, if you wanted to stay at Stage 1, you’d have to feed within every 30 minutes, Stage 2 within every hour and so on.

In order to feed you need to sneak up to an enemy humanoid (NPC not player), when you’re close enough you’ll need to press your synergy keybind to begin feeding.

Stage 1 – 30 minutes:

  • You take 50% more damage from fire attacks.
  • Feeding reduces your vampirism level, sneak up behind an enemy humanoid to feed on them.

Stage 2 – 1 Hour:

  • Your health regeneration is 25% slower.
  • You take 50% more damage from fire attacks.
  • The cost of your vampirism abilities are 20% lower.
  • Feeding reduces your vampirism level, sneak up behind an enemy humanoid to feed on them.

Stage 3 – 2 Hour:

  • Your health regeneration is 50% slower.
  • You take 50% more damage from fire attacks.
  • The cost of your vampirism abilities are 40% lower.
  • Feeding reduces your vampirism level, sneak up behind an enemy humanoid to feed on them.

Stage 4 – No timer:

  • Your health regeneration is 75% slower.
  • You take 50% more damage from fire attacks.
  • The cost of your vampirism abilities are 60% lower.
  • Feeding reduces your vampirism level, sneak up behind an enemy humanoid to feed on them

Are the locations still good as i havent seen or heard about the Edwards/Jacobs been around (Rift in my case).

they are, but people kill the mobs either unknowingly or knowingly so they can charge people for the bite.

yeah i know. but i'm not a Fan of Vamps. ( WOLFnox ) kinda says it all. i eat Vamps for breakfast ;-)

So long as they're not Dominion vamps![DOUBLEPOST=1398636864][/DOUBLEPOST]Werewolves get a permanent sprint boost in humanoid form. Beast form would be nice to have in your back pocket in case you get trapped in a boss fight.

truth don't know yet if i wanna try and go for a werewolf..

Vampires can access their powers freely, without having to use an ultimate.

if we are to continue this conversation i would suggest we do so through pms as i dont want to get banned from forums for being not only off topic but going into not so good topics. btw that book was from somone who read twilight and was a twlight fan.

no worries then, though being as we were talking about books with a target audience of 15 or so, I hope the topic would not be verboten. But I don't need you to actually list me books in PM.

that's definitely not geared towards young girls. I'm not saying no young girl reads it, but I doubt anyone is taking a porn book seriously. I mean if you want to live a BDSM lifestyle, more power to you, but I don't think there's a lot of teenage girls out there using 50 Shades as a primer or fangirling over it.

What books are you reading that encourage that? I'm trying to think of any other book I've read that the narrative encouraged that. I don't mean books where that happens, but books where the actual book is encouraging it, making it a magical and wonderful thing. Can not think of one. Not even the garbage MMPB books I've read.

i read it before it fell out of favor and before the movie was ever thought of…yes ive read some horrible aweful books in my time. im just saying storline wise it was decent. and in case you havent noticed alot of books are encouraging high school girls to ditch school and run off with a guy…not just that one. i really wish i had never even read the second book…it was soo bad.
