ESO: The Siege Cinematic

Zenimax has done it again, they went above and beyond when it comes to creating a cinematic. I used to say when it came to a cinematic Blizzard was always the best, but the people at Zenimax have created something epic.

This video is a continuation of the last video, The Arrival. We see Mannimarco standing on top of the Imperial City Tower, watching over the battle. The High Elf being held in chains, and of course the Nord, being his bad ass self.

What do you think, has Zenimax taken the award of best cinematic in the gaming genre?

Along with this video, Matt Firor provided us with a little blog discussing his feelings on ESO, his team, and what the future holds for The Elder Scrolls Online.

Welcome to April 4, 2014! Today’s worldwide release of The Elder Scrolls Online for PC and Mac  is a landmark day for our many fans and all of us here at ZeniMax Online Studios.  I am incredibly proud of the team that has been working hard to bring Tamriel to life online and am extremely grateful for everyone in the ever-growing ESO community. Making a AAA online RPG with the scope and scale of The Elder Scrolls Online is a daunting development effort,  and we couldn’t have done it without our talented team and the most supportive fans in the world. Thanks for helping us reach this day.

Development doesn’t stop here. Soon we’ll be unveiling Craglorn, our first Veteran-level, end-game zone tailored for small and large groups which offers lots more hours of gameplay and new areas to explore– and we’ll continue to add new systems and exciting content regularly. And of course, we are still hard-at-work on the PS4 and Xbox One versions of the game as well. I sincerely hope everyone has as much fun playing the game as we had making it. You are in for a thrilling journey, and as this is the first Elder Scrolls game to go online, we hope you share the fun by making friends — whether you’re joining groups and guilds or fighting hundreds of enemy players on the battlefield.  We’ll definitely be out there with you – see you in Tamriel! And stay tuned for all the new and exciting things we’ll have to share with you in the coming weeks and months. This is only the beginning. – Matt

Love the cinematic. Really great job. Still wish they would add that "green" altmer magic though, like that whip of death girl uses on daedras in the 2nd one.

    SPOILER DANGER_____SPOILER DANGER

For those who doesn't follow the story of trailers so far – The first one is pretty straightforward and show us how 3 "heroes" meet for the first time. In the 2nd one we witness Dark Anchor appeareance, that results in the destruction of a keep (or whatever is the fight location) that our heroes at. Breton gets killed in action by one of the daedra with a "weird" sword and appears as "raises from the dead" in the end of a trailer. Altmer girl uses all her powers to get rid of the anchor, Nord guy takes her as a battle trophy. So naturally in the 3rd trailer we see EP (hence the amount of argonians) using Altmer girl as a weapon to get into the imperial city, and we meet the Breton once again at the end of the trailer. Also, if you pay attention you will notice that each of the "heroes" got his own squad at the end of the first trailer (you can see wood elves in their weird armor behind altmer, and dark elves behind the nord), but looks like they're all dead by the time Dark Anchor arrives.
P.S.: Developers refer to characters as Nord, Breton, Altmer at this moment, so characters are still nameless.

i'm betting, @Merkhen, they'll get added in. the argonians were only added in with this one, so i'm betting they'll be "introduced" as the series continues.

making sure i'm right — this is the third installment, yes? cuz it seems like we missed something with the mage being captured.

    Possum

Um… afaik, that's not the Queen. The Queen is blonde.

You're right, everything I can find says he is "The High Elf"

Would love to see someone in love with lore clip all the cinematics together and explain everything that is going on because I am a little lost other than knowing we are all fighting for the throne.
